Why is The Mortal Instruments series not over yet? Like, actually tho. I mean, I love the characters and Clare’s writing and all, I just…why isn’t it over yet?City of Glass was the perfect ending.

And this movie makes me nervous. I always get nervous with book to movie adaptations of my favorite series, but still. It makes me feel like no books are safe from Hollywood’s nefarious clutches.

And also, I like The Infernal Devices about 300x more than The Mortal Instruments.

Yah. *Drops mic and walks away*

Me: How would [insert favorite fictional character name here] handle this situation?

Insurgent just came in the mail today. I ordered it last Thursday, while reading Divergent, coz I knew I would be too impatient to know what happens next. But now, I’m reading for school, so it’s just sitting there lookin all sexy and alluring on my bookshelf. “Read me,” it says. But I have to exercise restraint. “No! I have to read about HeLa! Don’t tempt me!”

These are highly underrated, and I don’t understand why.

13 to Life byShannon Delany

Tiger’s Curse byColleen Houck

Sweetly & Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

Luxe by Ann Godbersen

Now, don’t get me wrong. I love Tris, Katniss, Clary, and Harry as much as the next gal; but Jess, Kelsey, Gretchen, Scarlet, and Tessa deserve love too. As a matter of fact, Tessa deserves more love than Clary. Just sayin’.

When I turn eighteen in six months, I’m going to get two tattoos.

One shoulder blade: a mockingjay

One shoulder blade: the Deathly Hallows symbol.

Original? Maybe not.

Necessary? Of course not.

But they kind of changed my childhood, so yeah. I will not regret them.

Soz, I have to read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks before orientation. I don’t wanna, but I gotta. Does anybody have any ideas for books I can read along with it as a distraction, for when it gets boring? I’m at a loss.

Will > Jem

Vampire Simon > Bitchy, nerdy Simon

Tessa > Clary

Will > Jace

Everybody > Jace

Maia > Isabelle

Magnus > Every character in either series.

That is all.

Have you ever been so wrapped up in a book that real life feels like a pestering distraction? “Ugh, time for human interaction again? But I’m almost finished this chapter!”

Whenever something sucks in my life and I’m on the verge of tears or a breakdown, I just think to myself:

“Man up, girl. At least you’re not in an arena of death, forced to try and kill 23 other children for the amusement of your government.”

And my life sucks a lot less.

My role model is a fictional character that’s younger than me.

Nope, I don’t think that’s weird either.

I’m trying my absolute best not to yell “oh my god that series is amazing, let’s be best friends so we can talk about it!”… I think I might have a problem.

That’s not weird, is it?…

I can’t even… I’m so mad at myself that I stopped at Book 1 back when it first came out. I actually feel a little heartbroken that it’s over. And all those people dead. And Gale off doin’ what he did in the end. Like WHUT? I thought that was a little out of character, but okay, ‘s not my book.

It will definitely take some time to come down from this literary high.

So can anybody recommend anything else to read now? I’m suffering from withdrawal.

Or message me your thoughts so we can have a little online book club going.
